Privacy on the Internet?

Beware, there is no privacy on the internet.

Yahoo, Microsoft and America Online turned over records to the US government that Google is refusing to relinquish, raising divisions within the nation's biggest search engines over what information should be private.

The legal dispute over whether the federal government can force Google to give up information from its search engine index is a reminder of the vast amount of personal information Internet companies collect on their users -- and the possibility it could reach third parties. The Bush administration on Wednesday asked a federal judge to order Google to turn over a broad range of material from its closely guarded databases.

By using Yahoo for example one automatically agrees to information pertaining to one's internet history record to be collected, archived and disclosed to the Federal Trade Commission of the USA. To deny this, go right down the Yahoo browser page, and click on 'Privacy Policy'. On the next page that appears, scroll down to cookies and click on the link to web beacons. Under the third bullet point of Outside the Yahoo! Network section, you can choose to opt out by clicking on click here. But be careful, having done this, do not by impulse click on the button Cancel Opt-out on the next page that appears, as this will then put you back to where you started.

The trackking by the Federal Trade Commission of the US is more than fraud avoidance and deception en route. It is espionage!

We should now use only Google and not others.

Google has been very liberal in its stand on certain political matters. For example if you have not seen Fahrenheit 11, you can now do so by downloading it free from this site.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons as to why the Feds are not happy with Google.

Imagine! The US gov can actually trace us sampai lubang cacing! Once you have an internet service at home, they can reach you through all the cookies you send out. And then (if you are worth their while) they can, via satellite, catch you live on screen, doing whatever you're doing! Life is no more a private affair!

Puan Dr.:
Wallahu a'lam. Apa pendapat zizie ali?

dan selepasnya mereka melaung-laung, "yahoo, yahoo".

Tuan Keng,
Sekian tuan.
